Hi Everyone,
It's a Photoshp Font Problem...After adding some new fonts, my font lists ends with fonts in the letter M. I can't access any Fonts from N through Z. I CAN access my full font list in Illustrator, Flash. Word and other applications. I trashed Photoshop this morning and reinstalled. Still, my font list only displays fonts beginning with letters A through M. I have a job that requires Palatino. Any advice? OR can you forward to anyone who might know? I have been using Photoshop for about 7 years and this never happened. I'm still running Panther and Photoshop 7.01. I even reinstalled Photoshop and it didn't help. Am ready to upgrade to CS but want to get this worked out first and have a job due this week requiring fonts in the N-Z zone. Panther comes with Fontbook, but so what???? ~Mamaglee ![]() |

no little tab...I checked. There's a scroller triangle at the bottom but it doesn't display the fonts. I also entered several n-z fonts into the character palette and I get a dash line, meaning no font found. ![]() |

Same issue
I am having the same issue as well. I have my fonts installed in Font Book, and the fonts are limited in both 7.1 and PSD CS.
Hope someone has a good answer! |

Yes-I also have the same problem after loading a bunch on fonts in Library/Fonts folder. I did get a tech support reply from Adobe saying there should be no limit to fonts in Photoshop so I suspect it is a Jaguar problem.

I might be totally wrong here, but... FontBook is just for viewing and printing out character sheets of font faces. You need something like Extensis Suitcase to actually 'manage' your fonts. It's a common occurance that too many 'open' fonts can kill your apps! With Suitcase (or Font Reserve, or...whatever) you can activate only the fonts you need for any particular project.
I would recommend removing any 'unnecessary' fonts from your systems font folder... maybe one of the M-named fonts is bad and it's preventing PS from showing any that come after.... I'm running OSX 10.2.8 with PS 7 and CS... and I've never had any problems. ...but, like I said... I could be totally wrong... it's happened before (*gasp* ...say it ain't so... Oh, it's so!) Good Luck! |
