transparent background
I'm trying to make an avatar for another message board that bassically consists of a face and a transparent background. What I did was paste the picture that I wanted onto a transparent background, then erased everything that I didn't want. When I saved it, it all looked good, but when I tried to use it on the site, the background is white. Why is this happening?

PNG also supports transparency, but 100 times better than gif does. You can actually have opaque pixels. BUT M$ is too ridiculous to support PNG on their bower, so it doesn't show up correctly on IE.
