Angry Urgent, grid problem

Hi All,

I make a new file, with 1 pix by 1 pix, and when I zoom it to the max, I could see grids subdividing my screen as 2 x 2, though I went to preferences and set it to gridline every 1 pixel and 1 subdivision.

Could somebody help me out to reset my grid

Thanks in Advance

wait, are you saying the image is only 1px by 1px? if that's the case how could the grid be 2 by 2?

The grid and the background pattern are two different things. Are you seeing 2px by 2px tiled pictures? If that's it, then that's your background pattern (is visible wherever you don't have a background layer and a layer covering it). That does not affect grid spacing.

Right, to view the grid you need to goto the top menus: View->Grid. The background pattern can be editted in Edit->Preferences->Transparency.

Arden, nothing all year, then BAM! 10+ posts. Welcome back! Didn't you used to have a different avatar?

I haven't been on because I've been either busy with other stuff or not interested in coming. This morning I had some time to kill and I didn't want to spend it on Macosx.com (my usual forum dive), so I came here. And no, I haven't changed my avatar since, well, last year I guess.

Hi

Its only a 1 by 1 px image, with white background, and the rest as I told earlier. The ruler units, gridline, subdivision, are all set to 1 px. But when I zoom it to max, but each gridspace is less than one px.

Hope I make sense

Ok, it's 1px by 1px. Why do you need a grid for that? It's either on or off. Anyway, does the attached image look anything like what you are seeing? That's my 1x1 image w/ 1x1 grid turned on. It looks like PS is offsetting the grid by a small amount.

If it doesn't look like that can you post a pic of what it looks like?

Yes,

it is some what similar to that, though mine shoes in excess, and urs aligned to the center.

the main reason I want to use is, I am working on a pixel by pixel work and my guides and grids contradict when I zoom it to the max, that's reason I want a solution for it.

thanks for the pain!!
