Urgent Help Please!!

Hi,

I am trying to print things out from illustrator, but it wont print anything black! it prints colour and everything fine, but what is ment to be black comes out grey. there is nothing wrong with the printer as it prints out fine from other programmes! please help asap i need to print off a project!! thanks

Not exactly sure what could be the issue, but make sure that under the transparency tab, opacity is to 100%. As well, make sure your black toner is correctly inserted into your printer and double check the settings when you print. Increasing the quality of the print under print settings may improve things.

If you have Photoshop, you could attempt saving your Illustrator file as either a PSD or PNG (not sure wheter either or are supported by Illustrator), and then open with Photoshop and try there.

you might try making your blacks "super black". by this i mean instead of using just the K (this is assuming CMYK color), you use 100%C, 100%M, 100%Y, 100%K.
