Water mark effect

Hi all

I have no idea what this technique is really called. But if you look this link you see a flower that is kind of embeded into the background. I would really like to know how that is done? Is the flower a drawing or a photo? Is there a tut for this technique somewhere?

hi...that flower's really small, so it's kinda hard to see any detail.

looks more like a drawing tho...i'm sure you could do this with a photo tho, just convert it to sepia (duo/tritone) or grayscale, then drop the opacity do a bit...could maybe even feather the edges too.

dunno about a tutorial tho...just chekc the sticky at the top of the forum.

good luck!

By looking at the image, I doubt it's a watermark -- seems more like just part of the artwork to me.

To achieve the watermark effect through, you can just put any image you'd like over your artwork (in a new layer) and change this layer's opacity to a low level such that your graphic underneath it shows

Be sure that you're setting the Fill Opacity.

If it's not really just artwork, then I would say that it's a flower image, on top of a background, with the opacity turned down some. Also, it seems to fade from top to bottom of the image. A quickmask on the flower layer can accomplish this effect.

Send a message via AIM to SFC
Yes, Just put the watermark onto the image and lower the opacity by going to "Blending Options"

Good Luck
