The latest Adobe Photoshop 8.0 Creative Suite edition would be most suitable. I'm taking a graphics design class, and this program has proved to be extremely useful. You can do several things with it, but I would consider reading tons and tons of tutorials on making these graphics. You can take some tutorials that are built into Photoshop 8.0 CS, learning the basics, but if you want good tutorials to teach you how to do really neat stuff, check out these websites.

version

Hello,

Personally I use version 7.0 which seamlessly works with anything I come across but a lot of folks like the CS package. I'm a purist I guess?

Cheers!

I've used version 6, 7, and 8 CS. Not much of a difference, but I mean if you want the best it would probably be the newest.
