Wut can I put in a graphics website?
Heya Fellas,
I'm starting a graphicians website and since I don't have much knowledge about photoshop and I assume graphics in general I thought maybe you guys can help me out with suggestion on wut to add to the site..
Anyways I'll be reading all replies here but if you can please post suggestions in the forum: http://www.dggrfx.com/forums/ - I only started it today and this is the only place I'm gonna post this url at for now, I just wanna have a fresh new good start, also if you are good tutorial writers I'd love it if you could help us out with tutorials for photoshop..
Anyway I'm not sure it is a legit. post but what can I do.. I bought a domain and I got a good host and now I dunno wut to do anymore lol.

What do you do your graphics in? Your graphics look nice and clean; nice eye-candy. But a site that is JUST a forum is boring -- esp. if there is no one on it.
Suggestion 1: You need for the site to have a purpose. On a quick glance, I didn't see a huge purpose to the site, other than a forum.
Suggestion 2: Don't try to populate a forum by posting in other forums. Not saying that is what you did, but I wouldn't recommend that you do it all over the place.
Suggestion 3: Learn PHP and make the site really interesting with polls and junk. Of course, PHP might not be your thing, but if you learn it, it could make your site really cool. Dynamically adding articles/tutorials and junk.
Over all, just get a plan for the site and stick with the original plan. Hope it goes well for you.

For some reason I don't really like those greens. They kinda make me sick. They're inbetween a warm color and a cool color. :S

Well I like the colors.. The design was made with Photoshop by vereor.com - anyways I know PHP and I am planning to add many more features - the site won't be forums only as it would be mega lame - the forums are gonna be just one part - it's just that they are the easiest to make so I'm starting off with them.. then I'll move to making the tutorials section on the site and the addons and brushes and downloads and yada yada yada sections, the thing I wanna ask you is wut kinda sections I should add to the site..

Maybe allow for other artists to put up their own work, like photographs, paintings, illustrations, animations, life drawing, computer rendering, 3D animations, 3D images, etc.
I am about a month away from planning an animation website that will give animators an insight to the industry, resources, news, events, studio information, etc.
I suggest adding some other information that relates to your site like above.

Alright I'm working on it.. slowly but I am.. the tutorials, tips and downloads sections will hopefully be up today or tomorrow, with little content at first but it'll grow..
The upload function I would like to allow only after we'll finish everything up, the planning for such a section is gonna be kinda freakish, I have an idea on how to intergrate something with PHP but I can't find a way to guard myself from having gigz of unwanted stuff uploaded to my server..

ohh I bought www.dgporn.com so don't worry I will have a porn section but seriously it's not a part of the plan lol, it's gonna be a stand-alone site.. I'm now developing the tutorials section.

I think it would be way more credible, and not to mention more entertaining, if you had a porn section. Hey, it's another reason to come return, right. That's why I always return to the djdstyles.com site. Whoot whoot.
