    Photoshop cs5 extended - help :(

When I open a file with photoshop, sometimes the entire area where the image is located is entirely black, and I have to select the area, and then deselect it, to see the image. Most of the time the image is really dark, and I have to save it in a different format, and then reopen it to view it clearly.

Here is a link to a screenshot of my photoshop.

The image displayed in photoshop is a newly created image that is 1200 x 275, with a white background, but it displays with distorted dark look.

    Anyone familiar with this problem?

I think I've found the answer to my own question.
When I zoom in on the image, it displays fine.

Also, even though i was having this problem, the image would save as it should have. The only problem was it wasn't being display properly. Anyway, I'm good now.
