    Photoshop Cropping Help?

Hello, I am using photoshop to crop and resize images. On my first image, I want to zoom in on a particular part of it and crop everything around it for the dimensions of 11x17(Landscape).

The problem is that when I zoom in on the image(which is much much larger than 11x17), the crop tool also enlarges so I am unable to just have the buildings.

So for example, the original image is 25x19. I want to zoom in on the buildings and crop everything around it so I have just the buildings withing a 11X17 photo. The problem occurs when I use the crop tool and I put in 11X17 and it creates that shape, but it reaches across the entire image. So basically it is taking the landscape shape I want but its doing it on a much larger scale and not 11x17.

I hope I explained it right.

It is very simple to do, you are zooming the photo and then cropping it?
You just crop the photo and then give it the dimensions there.
When you are done cropping then do the next step after saving your work, you are not saving the crop portion so that it does not occur there.
First save that after cropping and then give it the size you want.

Hi! Great tips. I was also having similar issue with my photoshop editing and trying to find an easy answer regarding this complexity since I am a novice. By the way,
thanks as it also works for me.
