    I want to submit two forms independently

    i.e.
    one to upload the image

    once the image is uploaded i want to transfer the details of the url of the image
    into another form

    The overview is that want people to input details onto my database but have the option to upload pictures as well. Some people find it difficult to copy and paste image urls, so Im trying to make it as easy as possible.

    If the 2nd form is on a different page the use
    header("Location: <A HREF="http://url.com");" TARGET=_blank>http://url.com");</A>
    # don't print stuff to the screen and check whitspace after the last PHP closing tag on all included files, else this'll break

    or, better still just have the 2nd form dispaly after you've done your first bit of processing

    ie.

    page.php

    <?

    function form1() {
    some form stuff with a hidden feild called "process1"
    }

    Function process_form1() {
    some db stuff
    }

    function form2() {
    another form
    some form stuff with a hidden feild called "process2"
    }

    function process_form2() {
    some more DB stuff
    }

    switch($task) {

    case 'process1':
    process_form1();
    form2();
    break;

    case 'process2':
    process_form2();
    break;

    default:
    form1();

    }
    ?>
