Allowing Database Text to serve as HTML Code?

i add my site's news to a database, but sometimes i want to link to a page, but when i type in the html code
Code:
<a href='viportals.com/blah'>go to blah</a>
it actually appears as text instead of an anchor.

how can i make it accept the mysql database's text as html code?

thanks so much! see i changed from tables!

i'll check the hard code. maybe when i put it in it does something weird.

my website needs now is tons of bug fixes now that the css is pretty adequate, plus i'm going to add in javascript for game hovering and ajax for voting/commenting. hopefully i'll be done in less than 5 years! then i can finally start marketing and doing the even funner stuff!

man, making a website isnt as easy as i thought.

lol I agree, but when you see it coming together its very rewarding.

Plus i did search for your site and a lot of results came up, that must be a good thing!

For the problem you have now: Not sure if what i suggested worked. I forget to tell you this:
