I need to write a script that goes through a list of ips and see's if those ip's are still in use, or if they're dead. I tried using checkdnsrr but it returned false for every ip. Is there another function I should use? Is there an easy way to do this in Perl?

    Thanx,
    Lenny

Yes, there are many ways. Try this ->
    http://www.perl.com/CPAN-local/modul...ng-2.02.tar.gz

If you have a huge list of IPs, you should run such script via command line.
