I have installed sybase ase on Linux and it is working fine. I have a database on sybase ans I am using PHP3 for accessing the database from the browser.
Now I would like to connect the MS-SQLSERVER which is on a NT server in the same network. How to set up the interface file to run both the databases. Please help me.
    ( Linux - RedHat 6.1 - Apache - Sybase ase installed)

    1. Well, be sure that you can ping the SQL server from your Linux box.

    2. The Port for SQL Server is 1433 (unless yours is different)

    3. Make sure thatTCP/IP connections are enabled on your SQL server, by
default it is set to Named Pipes.

    This is my interfaces file:

    ------------------------------------
    nt
    master tcp ether 192.168.0.5 1433
    query tcp ether 192.168.0.5 1433
    ----------------------------------------

    192.168.0.5 is my SQL server.

    Thanks !.

It is working fine as per your reply.

Now I am able to connect both MS_SQL server and Sybase server from my PHP script running at Linux-Apache.
