does anyone know how to create a Microsoft Excel file with PHP. I want to be able to take data from a database and dump it into a script that will create a MS Excel file for someone to download.

    thanks,

Actually if you just start a download stream after someone clicks onj the lfile to downlaod you can query the db and put the data into comma-delimited format and name the downlaod file as .xls and presto the file that is downaloaded can be opened within Excel
