Is there a way to execute a CGI script using an include like I do with the SSI includes. I want to just execute my weather cgi file like I do on my page at www.insidemath.com .... whoever can help please do so. Thank you!

    I'm no expert, yet....

But I have looked into SSI when php is configure as an apache modual. I found that virtual() is basicly the same as <!-- inclued: blah_blah.shtml -->

Also, I would say that the exec() function is handy for executing perl files. However, it all depends on the behaviour of the perl script. More to the point, how they are designed to return data once they are called upon, and what data they need to be passed.

I use exex() to return the output of UPTIME, a unix command for those windows users out there, and I echo the output in the user-agents browser. Nice and neat.

    Just my two cents.
