Here is the situation:
I am using PHP and need to be able to handle file uploads > 2mb. In php.ini, the default for "upload_max_filesize" is 2mb. No matter what I set MAX_FILE_SIZE before the <type=file> tag to, it doesn't override the php.ini setting. What can I do if I don't have control over the php.ini file?? I need to use virtual web hosts because they are cheaper than dedicated hosts. But if the techs don't want to change the default setting, what other alternatives do I have? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
