GetImageSize()

The GetImageSize() Function in PHP is useful for resizing images proportionally onto a webpage.

However, I have only managed to use that function successfully on image files that are on local drive.
eg. ImgArr=GetImageSize("/img/myfile.gif");

The function doesn't seem to work when I tried to use a hyperlinked image file.
eg. ImgArr=GetImageSize("http://www.someurl.com/myfile.gif");

Is there anyway in PHP where I can get the height and width of remote image files?

Appreciate any help.

As a low-tech workaround, you could copy the file to your local temp directory and process it there, then delete it.

Like I said, low-tech but it will work if there are no better options given.
