In tracking my advertising campaign, i had hoped to create a cookie that would track the link the usercame from before entering my site. I could place the cookie on the index page, with the link they came from, then call it back on the order page, inserting it into a hidden field, so i know who their referrer was.

Any ideas on a http variable or something? or some way to do this?

thanks

Yes,
Use the PHP variable $HTTP_REFERER to get the last URL that your visitor was at.

A whole list is at: http://www.php.net/manual/language.....predefined.php

If you really want to program in PHP make www.php.net your start page. The manual is better than most printer manuals.
