PHP-Install - How to setup php development environment over my 'Wordpress on WAMP' installation?

Hi, I am new to php and wordpress. I have installed wordpress on wamp server in my laptop, how would I setup php development environment? I need that to customize the themes and plugins I may download. Kindly help! Thanks!

a development environment is whatever you need it to be. If it's only for development, then turn logging up a bit, and install whichever php modules you need.
