I solved my problem on the other post ( I dunno what I did). But now I need help doing something else. I am writing a script to allow an online disk drive. I need some ideas on how to add up the sizes of all the files (including subdirs) and check to see if thery're over the limit. I have no idea how to do that. Thanks!

you could keep the structure of your drive in a database-and reference store all the files in a single directory. then you could do a "select ... sum(...) where..." statement to find out how big a particular set of files is...
