Ok, here is my problem :

I programmed a forum php/mysql, and I figured out that was interpreted like a special character.
So I enabled magic_quote_gpc -> the worked fine...
But I also noticed that the ' are printed as ', so I enabled magic_quote_sybase so that ' was escaped by ' and not .

-> Now It works fine... BUT, now with the magic_quote_sybase enabled, the doesn't works anymore...

I tried a preg_replace("//","\");, but of course it doesn't work...

    Any idea ?
    Thank you

you can use AddSlashes to quote string with slashes and StripSlashes to unquote.
Special chars (un)quoted are ', " , and the NUL byte
