    Hello,
Is it possible to download e-mail messages off the server using PHP, if it is possible, how?

    Is it very complicated?

    Thanks

Do you mean as in a web-mail setup? Or, downloading it onto your local machine... Webmail is somewhat easy to accomplish, if you know how the pop3 service works. All you need to do is open a socket to the mailserver, log in, and do the dirtywork. All that can be accomplished with fsockopen() fputs(), fgets(), and friends.

The IMAP functions provide an interface to mail servers, but PHP has be complied --wiht-imap. you might want to look into it if fsocket, etc proves difficult.

Well you could start by checking out the following page, it lists all the functions:

Do you mean like this: http://www.spartanweb.co.uk/mail

It can also send emails, but that version is on another server for testing.

Its all written in PHP, WITHOUT --with-IMAP functions, so will work on any PHP istallation.

email me if you have any further questions.

    Regards
    Sparky
