There's a "WIKI" button on top. Click on it.

Note that this library will not fix a misconfigured mailserver. Try using the GMail mailserver for testing. XAMPP also has the Mercury mailserver built-in.

Smile Use PHP Basic mail() function instead of PHPMailer Library Class

You really don't need to use PHP Mailer library to send email in PHP if you are just a novice programmer in Web Development.

Try to use mail() function to send emails in PHP. But one thing to note down here is that mail() function does not run on localhost if you does not use any software to send fake emails in your own computer and open it through Outlook Express or Microsoft Outlook or even with any 3rd party software. SMTP port 25 error will be shown on your browser screen. But you can be ensure that if mail() function return 1 or true then it means it has successfully handed over your mail message to the mail server that is off course is missed out in localhost. We have given you the code to send email in PHP that is 100% working on any server.
