mkdir pb - general security issue
I'm trying to create a dir and upload files, but the mkdir function returns me a 'permission denied'.
my config: IIS on XPpro, php4, safe_mode=off
I've been reading a lot about this topic but i still don't understand what i am supposed to do.
The 'owner' of the script:what is that?!! how do i know it?
i've tried the chmod function unsucessfully.
thank you for your help

the owner and chmod stuff is all UNIX stuff (i think, never really used XP too much, i may be wrong), the reason that you can't make a directory is that the folder that will be the parent of the folder your making is not writeable by the webserver, you should make the folder with you ftp browser and set the permissions with that, to get the folder for php to save in, you do not ned to use php

i have made writable every directories, event the root, opened everything i could on iis and set it with the minimum of security, just to make it works, but i still can't.
I can't create my folder with ftp. It is a functionality of the website.
