mkdir() problem! - Dev Shed

Hi!

I have a very strange problem with mkdir("dir", 0777). When the php3 script is executed with mkdir() from the browser, mkdir creates a directory with the owner and group set to "www". The means, that I can not do anything with this folder anymore since I dont have right (i'm not the root user).

What can I do?
