    Parsing error T_STRING

    Hi!

I have got an error on the following statement. I can not figure out what could be wrong.

    echo "<td><input type='date' name='start_dt' /></td>"; /* Line 122*/

    the error is -

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 'date' (T_STRING) in C:\wamp\www\getname.php on line 122

    I would appreciate some help.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

check the previous lines. I'm pretty sure you have an unbalanced single quote there.

When you got a parser error for a certain line, that doesn't mean this very line is wrong. It only means the parser stumbled upon this line. The actual error is usually above that.

Why canít I use certain words like "drop" as part of my Security Question answers?
There are certain words used by hackers to try to gain access to systems and manipulate data; therefore, the following words are restricted: "select," "delete," "update," "insert," "drop" and "null".

Thanks! problem solved! A single quote was indeed missing a couple of lines above this statement!
