The documentation for PHP 4.0.2 says that HTTP Authentication is supported under IIS 5.0, and they give the instructions how to set it up. I'm using the following:

<?php

if(!isset($PHP_AUTH_USER))//no name entered
{
Header("WWW-Authenticate: Basic realm="Enterprise"");
Header("HTTP/1.0 401 Unauthorized");
echo "You must enter the correct name and password to view this pagen";
exit;
}
else
{
if ($PHP_AUTH_USER!="jojo"| |$PHP_AUTH_PW!="jojo")//check proper name
{
Header("HTTP/1.0 401 Unauthorized");
echo "You are not authorized to view this pagen";
exit;
}
}
?>

It pulls up the authentication window OK, but there is another field for domain that doesn't occur when I do it under Apache on Linux. I'm not on a domain and the NT workgroup won't work, so I'm confused about what to put or how to eliminate that field.

Any ideas? I really would like to make it work with this software.
