Does anyone know where to take a class or get training in PHP and MySQL?

The best thing to do is to buy books about PHP and MySQL. It is cheaper, you work at your own pace and you learn a lot. If there are still some difficulties, you can use forums like these to get your answers.

Recommendations for books:
MSQL and MySQL (O'Reilly)
Professional PHP (Wrox)

Thanks for the advice. I'm trying to put together a contact manager and it seems very slow going, being a newbe and starting from scratch. I'm looking from something very simple to get me started. I picked up professional php programming yesterday.

thanks again.
