I'm looking to develop a simple php calendar/schedule - similar to outlook calendar - that does not rely on a database but rather writes to a file. I need to be able to add to/delete from the schedule.

Anyone got any ideas where I might be able to find a good example of this?

As I am only starting out with php I am a little confused by the codes which links to databases and how to adapt them to only write to a flat file.

I'm in the progress of building something similar but much more complex.
Lookup tutorials for file manipulation in: http://www.phpbuilder.com http://www.zend.com http://www.devshed.com http://www.hotscripts.com/PHP/Tips_a...e_Manipulation

And you can search in the forum too.

Let me just say that I think you should start with something more simple like a guestbook and also get to know the Date&Time functions real well.

    hope I helped.
