I am trying to show the ratings of a selection of stock exchange on my website. This far I managed to show the images. Now I would like to show to the user if he pulls his mouse over the point of date and rating, the appropriate figures. Is that possible with PHP?

Could someone verify this? Thanks.

It will have to be client side.
Are you using seperate images ore one large image? With seperate iamges, you could use something as simple as the ALT= in your IMG tag and insert the text with PHP.
<IMG SRC="whatever.gif" ALT="<? print("your text"); ?>">

thanks, I am using one large image, in which I show the chart of the ratings according to the datas in a mysql table. The thing I want to do would require access to that table and the datas either showing the rating and the date in a popup window or a new page.
I guess PHP can't help in this case.

The only thing I can think of is an image map linked to another page that will pull the info from your db.
You would still have to use php to set the points on the image map.
