Hello
I am new to PHP. I have gone through some of the tutorials of PHP and all the tutorial and all the examples used MySQL db as a sample database and connected with that datbase to perform some operations. But every where developers have mentioned that with PHP you can connect to ORACLE and other databases. Now All I wanted to know that how to connect to oracle and Can I actually use JDBC with PHP to connect to databases.
Cheers,

No need to use jdbc, php has native drivers for oracle built in...
You can find a a list of the functions supported here:
http://www.php.net/manual/ref.oracle.php
