I have been playing with PHP/MySQL and looking for code to build an online membership system around -- anything out there that I should look at?

I think you should take a look at the "Q&D" search engine that is available from the front page of devshed.com
Take a look at the code structure and use the php3 'bigmanual.html' as a sidereference along with the online docs for mySQL. Thats the way I learned how to get the most out of the Apache-PHP3-mySQL trio. Feel free to mail me gash@hem.passagen.se if you run into any problems in the coding process, I'll be glad to help. |

Could you post the URL for this Q&D search engine? I couldnt find anything like that on devshed. And also, what does a search engine have to do with a membership system, as the original poster asked?

But offcourse, here it is...
http://www.devshed.com/Server_Side/PHP/Search_Engine/ and for the actual code to something that could be called a membership system, why not check this ClipScript out... http://www.devshed.com/ClipScripts/results/453/ The reason I gave the advice to look at the search engine is that a program like that will have many features similar to the 'online membership' system. And since I did not remember the name of the ClipScript I now reffered to I gave the tip of the QDse and some tips on how i learned it. |
