php, mysql, iss and newbie

I know, that's a dead combination, but still, i was very surprised that everything works just fine. For some reaon PHP gives me following thing:

Fatal error: Call to unsupported or undefined function mysql_connect() in lib.inc.php3 on line 119

I can't fix it. I put

extension=php3_mysql.dll

in php3.ini, modifed mysql.default_host and others, but it still says that. How could it be?? Please help!!

don't bother, I found the problem,

extension_dir

was pointing to the wrong directory.
