kpalmer like I stated, because you're redirecting and you have a die() statement straight after the header, nothing else will execute in the remainder of your code, making that last bit of PHP unnecessary. Just print your 'success' message on the page which you are redirecting to.
Can you post your whole updated code please and it'll be a bit easier to help you. I'm not sure what you have or haven't changed.
