We have been developing our web/db app in PHP. I have done due diligence on JSP/servlets/beans a number of times now, and I cannot see the value add.

Could someone please point me to a web resource that makes the case for JSP/servlets/beans as strongly as possible? I want no marketing hype, but instead I want to hear why an actual developer chose to go the Java route over PHP etc.
