Ran into a changelog .txt file on Zend while Googling ... Some of it seems original, some seems duplicated in other publications they've put out.

Through the months I've been compiling a list of PHP 5 related resources into a faq, this lengthy list can be seen here:

Just keep in mind that PHP 5 is still a moving target so some features are up for debate, and additional features on on the way.

Especially his books on PHP? You mean as opposed to Harry's books on gardening and cooking?

Harry Fuecks has coauthored one book with 5 other people.

If any onlookers want to draw an opinion of his writing, I suggest that you don't look to a single off topic post.

Instead, check out his articles at sitepoint, his large number of posts at sitepoint forums, and especially his collection of articles at PHP Patterns. Lastly, you can (of course) flip through the book itself (Professional PHP Web Services) at a book store.

This will allow you to come to an educated conclusion. Perhaps you will end up agreeing with drgroove, perhaps not.

I apologize for going further off topic but I thought that deserved attention.
