I hear alot about PHPLIBand I'm wondering what it is. I heard it's for user authentication, but I've alway written my own. I was wondering, is mit more secure to use PHPLIB, and if so can somebody give me a small example. Many thanks.

The big thing about PHPLIB was the session management (it was used in phpslash, which is the php version of the slashdot perl template), which is built in to PHP 4.0. So, PHPLIB is only useful if you're still running a 3.x version of PHP.
