This is the error dump I'm getting from apache's ./configure
I am using the --enable-module for both ssl and php and also the --activate-module for php4
and have also set the SSL_BASE env variable
I even tried adding the dir which contains the not found lib in the $PATH and cannot find any ref's to it in any files in the apache dir of subdir's but I may be overlooking something...
please send me and email in addition to reponding here...thanks!

I just emailed this repoonse to the guy, but maybe should post it here

I had similar problems over the weekend.
I found a great resource for this, in the url below
However when I compiled the MySQL software I had to add the tag --with-unix-sock=/tmp/mysql.sock
since PHP looked for it there, but it defaulted to /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock

I recommend you go to this page, and go to the printer friendly option on the right hand side, and then save that as html
since u refer to it several times and dont want to be online all the time
