So i was looking around the web today... and im really digging the portal server layout (a la the (crappy) iPlanet default portal server layout

My thoughts... would there be any way of building a site like that with PHP/MySQL or Postgres for that matter?

I'd love to have that type of layout pouring info from various sources and grow my site

Lemme know what you guys think

I've been investigating RSS, a number of sites will give you access to regularly updated RDF dumps of their DB (e.g. Moreover, yahoo Stoke quotes) and sites like DMOZ.org have all of thier links available (550+ MB!)

    heh

I've been planning to write a RDF parser in PHP but havn't got around to it just yet, I did find a PERL one though
