"premature end script" error with Apache/Win95

running Apache 1.3.9 on Win95 machine (sniff); keep getting no output from php3 processed files; apache error log reads: "[error] [client 127.0.0.1] Premature end of script headers: c:/php3/php.exe"

any clues for a relative newbie?

the problem turns out to have been an error in my php.ini file; thus php was running but not accessing the necessary windows extension ; all is well
