I also posted this question in the Apache
forum, but thought maybe someone here might
know as well.

I'm having trouble getting PHP to work
on a Linux box (Red Hat 5.2) using Apache
1.3.3

I'm adding PHP as a module using apxs.
Everything went great on a similar install,
so I think I'm just missing something simple.

When I start the server everything appears
to start normally, but .php3 files are just
sent to the browser without being run
through the PHP interpreter.

Any help would be appreciated.

Scott

Well, if all your compilations went well then all you need to do is edit your httpd.conf to associate php files with the php module. If you compilations DIDN'T go alright, you should read the README and INSTALL files that come with PHP to find out what you're doing wrong.

edit your httpd.conf <br>
write down on DirectoryIndex section "index.php3" <br>
uncomment the statment <br>
"AddType application/x-httpd-php3 .php3 "<br>
and than restart your httpd
