    hello everbody,
    i am trying to display a value, from query string which was urlencoded..like this
    "yy.php"---
    print "<a href='xx.php?prod=".urlencode(trim($row["productname"]))>";

    "xx.php"---
    print $prod;

    the problem here is, data in table,($row) contains a double quotation mark which has to be printed as it is.
    but it is displaying as "bear 7" inches" with an extra back slash.
    i tried with rawurldecode() but i could'nt get the result.
    any help will be much appreciated.
    thank u
    anitha

    Try putting a stripslashes() around the rawurldecode() call. Alternatively, you can read up on magic quotes stuff in the php.ini file.
