reg_replace problems....coming from perl background

Hi there,

I am new to php and am having problems with the most simple of ereg_replaces..

all I want to do is to convert the a string from mixed upper/lowercase to all lowercase..

I just cant seem to get it to work...

Why use regex? Just use strtolower(). Faster and easier. Check out the string functions in the manual.
