I am making a resume site in which I am asking the user to input his resume in a textarea and through post methot i am sending this details to another file my problem is that when I display the value the whole of the fomatting spaces and enter pressed are lost and what i get is an unformatted text.
Other Problem is that I have to store that textarea value in the MYSQL database and retrieve the information in the formatted manner as the user had inputted.

I will really appreciate ur help in the matter.

You shouldn't need to do anything special to insert into mysql except addslashes() if you don't have magic_quotes on.

To display it properly, just insert it between <PRE> tags.

Thanks for the reply but wile displaying using <pre> tags. THe <pre> tags prevent word wrapping and if any person enters a lng paragraph without any carriage returns the text will be word-wrapped in the html form but while displayed it will not be word wrapped.

Use WRAP="physical" inside your textarea to get it to stay wrapped.

This didn't work exactly as I wanted. Wrap=PHYSICAL does wrap but only during the feeding of the document. Is there a better way to do it.
