    thanks for your replies. I have solved it by changing the time format to 24 hrs.

    1:30 PM > 9:30 AM returns false. so change it to 13:30 > 9:30 and this works! cheeeerrrs!!!

    You should be using DATETIME/TIME fields for this data.

    Yes i've used time already. previous one is varchar to allow 8:00 AM etc. thanks!!!
