    Our students have their account on Linux server.
    And they can use mysql_list_dbs() to see all database name in server.
    How can I stop mysql_list_dbs() from our student?

    you could actually go into the source code and maybe remove this function?? i'm not to familiar with that, though.

    however, if your permissions are set up correctly, even though they can list all of the databases, it doesn't mean they can do anything within them. the mysql permissions handle all that and only give a user access to the databases that are assigned to them in the 'db' table or what was specified with the GRANT statements...
