Hi. I hope someone can help with this. I am new to PHP but wuickly learning it's usefulness! Here is my problem:

I am trying to insert a form value (input type = 'file') into an MSQL database.

When I try to do this, however, the query fails. I suspect this is caused by the fact that the value includes a path (i.e. D:tmpimage.gif) which contains illegal characters. I am a bit unsure, however, how to parse or escape those characters from the string.

    Any ideas? Thanks.

Let's take this a step farther...

    Obviously our form input="file" will
give us a few nice little tid bits
    of information about our file,
like it's mime type, file size, and file name...

    But how about the dimensions?

Seems there has to be way to obtain that information since our browsers are smart enough to know that by readin the file??
