When a integer w/ decimal is entered into a VARCHAR field, something strange happens and the data is changed as it is passed to the database.

    For instance:
    124.8 appears as 1e+02cc

Any ideas on what is causing this?

Not sure I use 3.22.32 and I can put a decimal number in a varchar field just fine. The only time I have seen something like that is for instance I use MS Access and odbc to view my MySQL db and the column that holds a particular field is too narrow it converts to some weird string but if I adjust the column by placing mouse over rigjht edge and widen it a bit it straightens itself out.
