    For some odd reason my host has turned off the mail function. I can't use it. I have a very simple script that gets input from a form:

    <?

    $mailTo = "optic@opticfreedom.com";
    $mailSubject = "Optic Freedom Quote";

    if ( $name == "") {
    echo "Put Your Name Down!";
    } else {
    echo "
    Hello, $name.
    <BR><BR>
    Thank you for your quote. We will send you an e-mail about it very soon. Thank You.
    <BR>
    <i>Here is what you submitted:</i><BR><BR>
    ";
    echo "<b>Name:</b><BR>";
    print ("$name");
    echo "<BR><b>Company:</b><br>";
    print ("$company");
    echo "<BR><b>E-Mail</b><br>";
    print ("$email");
    echo "<BR><b>Specifications:</b><br>";
    print ("$specs");
    mail($mailTo, $mailSubject,"
    $name
    $company
    $email
    $specs
    ");
    }
    ?>

    This is the script, what can I do to substitute the mail function so that it sends it to my mail. Thanks.

    without actually hacking the php source, and recompiling php, it's not likely that the mail() function was disabled. it's possible that sendmail (or whatever your mail delivery app is) has been disabled or broken, or sending mail from the webserver's user is not permitted. if that's the case, you won't be able to send mail, whatsoever, using the mail() function. talk to your host's system administrator to figure out what the issue is.
