Trigger a php script with email.

I have a client that received mail daily from different sources. He would like these e-mail to be uploaded on their website and sorted by date.
My question is:
Is their a way of triggering a php script by e-mail. What I was thinking is that the e-mail could automatically be forwarded to the server where a script would store the content of the e-mail in a table with the date received.

Does anybody know anyting on how I could solve this.

Bearing in mind that Im new to this idea as well...
If you / the client own the server, try installing QMAIL.

That was the best solution I came up with.
Either that, or you could create a PHP mail reader for the client which writes the messages into a database / file.

However, then they would have to always use their browser to check their email.
